Regression therapy

A deeply relaxed state in which early memories and images become accessible: childhood, the prenatal period, birth, images of past lives.

Sometimes the source of a fear, a physical symptom or a recurring pattern lies deeper than what we consciously remember. Regression gives access to it.

It is work in a state of deep relaxation, similar to drifting off before sleep. You stay aware, hear my voice, can speak, and can stop the session at any moment. In this state, memories, images and sensations surface that are not accessible in ordinary awareness.

What can be explored

  • early childhood memories and situations you "don't remember";
  • the prenatal period and the experience of birth;
  • family and ancestral patterns passed down through generations;
  • past-life imagery, as symbolic material about your life now;
  • the roots of fears and phobias with no clear cause.

How a session works

  1. Preparation (30–40 minutes). We discuss your request, your history and the aim of the session.
  2. Induction. I help you relax and enter a gentle trance state.
  3. The work (60–90 minutes). We explore what surfaces. We work with what comes, not with what we would like to see.
  4. Return and integration. We gently return to ordinary awareness and talk about how what emerged connects to your life now.

The whole session takes 2–3 hours and can be held online.

When regression is not appropriate

  • psychiatric diagnoses (schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, a history of psychosis);
  • epilepsy;
  • acute crisis or intense grief in the first weeks after a loss;
  • pregnancy, by prior agreement only;
  • being under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

In these cases we start with counselling and return to regression later if it is appropriate.

After the session

Give yourself a quiet evening without important meetings or decisions. Over the following days new memories or dreams may surface; this is part of the process. Write them down and we will discuss them at the next session.
